Updated Oct. 9 2012. Overhauled a lot of the wording, added some new images, fixed the slightly blurred images. And if you didn't see it already, there is now a part two to this that goes over how to make outlines and use nodes.

Thank you for this great tutorial. I recently just downloaded Inkscape and am working hard to figure out how to use it. I'm trying to make MLP vectors on it and I hope it goes well.

I pointed this out on the club front page but I'll drop it here to.

Kinky Turtle, the one that did all the color guides, has updated through nearly all of S3 (no coronation dresses, but we have Games Ponies Play in there).

It doesn't have the tweaked guide for Tia's mane, but the rest are accurate.
